The affordable housing lottery has launched for 217 Eckford Street, a five-story residential building in Greenpoint, Brooklyn. Designed by Gerald Caliendo Architects and Bobby Kaczor under the Diamond Street LLC, the structure yields 14 residences. Available on NYC Housing Connect are five units for residents at 130 percent of the area median income (AMI), ranging in eligible income from $122,229 to $189,540.
Amenities include a fitness center, resident lounge, children’s playroom, bike storage, indoor pool and aquatics center, and outdoor lounge with pool and sundeck. Residences are equipped with dishwashers, patios, and name-brand kitchen appliances, countertops, and finishes. Tenants are responsible for electricity, including heating and stove.
At 130 percent of the AMI, there is one studio with a monthly rent of $3,423 for incomes ranging from $122,229 to $168,480, and four one-bedrooms with a monthly rent of $3,661 for incomes ranging from $131,143 to $189,540.
Prospective renters must meet income and household size requirements to apply for these apartments. Applications must be postmarked or submitted online no later than June 10, 2025.
