Suffolk County Police arrested a 55-year-old Shirley man for allegedly stealing from eight different businesses over a 10-day period, cops said on Thursday.
Seventh Precinct Investigative Unit officers took Anthony Anzalone, 55, of Shirley, into custody on Wednesday as he approached Famous Footwear at 999 Montauk Highway in Shirley, where he had allegedly committed a theft earlier that day, authorities said.
Investigators linked Anzalone to the following alleged larcenies:
- Famous Footwear, 999 Montauk Highway, Shirley (March 26)
- Famous Footwear, 999 Montauk Highway, Shirley (March 25)
- Handy Pantry, 630 Mastic Road, Mastic (March 24)
- Aldi, 855 Montauk Highway, Shirley (March 23)
- Walgreens, 863 Montauk Highway, Shirley (March 23)
- 7-Eleven, 1236 Montauk Highway, Mastic (March 22)
- 7-Eleven, 210 Mastic Beach Road, Mastic Beach (March 22)
- Walmart, 901 Boulevard East, Yaphank (March 19)
- Stop and Shop, 999 Montauk Highway, Shirley (March 18)
Anzalone was charged with nine counts of petit larceny and is scheduled to be arraigned at a later date.
