
(FREEPORT, N.Y.) – Nassau County Legislator Seth I. Koslow (D – Merrick) partnered with the Moore 4 You Community Development Center to celebrate Women’s History Month on Friday, March 22. During the event, Legislator Koslow and the community recognized the strength, achievements, contributions and influence of women in the community who have dedicated their lives to education, mentorship and leadership.
Event honorees included Sherlene Thomas; Jamie Kammer; Candist White; Janna Rodriguez; Judy Cataldo and Dr. Shirley Dews. Refreshments were donated by Freeport-based Bagel Dock.
“Throughout Nassau County and all across America and the world, women are making remarkable contributions that deserve to be recognized and celebrated – and our six honorees exemplify how women of all generations are giving back and strengthening our communities,” Legislator Koslow said. “It was a privilege to partner with the Moore 4 You Community Development Center to host this celebration and recognize phenomenal women who make a difference on a daily basis.”
