Ben Affleck has been in the public eye for decades, with his personal life frequently under intense scrutiny.
Despite his two divorces, including the recent one from Jennifer Lopez, Affleck reflects on how he navigates his relationships, especially with his ex-wife, Jennifer Garner, and his role as a father to their three children.
In a recent interview with GQ, Affleck shared how lucky he feels to have Garner to co-parent. "I'm really lucky to have a good co-parent and partner in Jennifer Garner, the kids' mom, who is wonderful, great, and we work really well together," he said
Affleck and Garner have three children: Violet, 19, Seraphina, 16, and Samuel, 13, and although their divorce was highly publicized, he stresses the importance of working together for the sake of their children.
The actor also gave an insight into how he handles the constant media attention. "There is nothing newsworthy at all about the day-to-day events of my life or the conversations I have with one person or another that are photographed," Affleck explained.
The actor stressed that he is aware of the "cosmic joke" that surrounds his every move, referring to how trivial moments, such as buying a coffee, can become headlines
Despite this, Affleck maintains a healthy perspective, focusing on what really matters in his life: his family and his career.
The actor also recalled how he and Garner used to explain media stories to their children. "We used to tell them, 'You know this isn't always true because if it were, you'd have 15 brothers or sisters or whatever the number of stories they said your mom was pregnant,'" he joked in his interview with GQ magazine. This approach has helped keep their children grounded despite the media circus.
Although he considers the constant attention a "pain in the ass," Affleck noted that "there are certainly worse things" to deal with than being at the center of media rumors.

The actor also reflected on his marriage to Jennifer Lopez, which ended in 2024, just two years after they were married. Affleck admitted that participating in Lopez's documentary 'The Greatest Love Story Never Told' was not always easy for him, especially as they have different approaches to fame
"My temperament is to be a little more reserved and private than she is," he shared
He also clarified that their different views on public life were not the cause of their separation. "And I think it's important to say that that wasn't the cause of some major fracture."
Despite the split, Affleck made it clear that he has a great deal of respect for Lopez. "She's somebody I admire and respect and I just don't want to be involved in any way," he said. He added that trying to find a reason behind their breakup is unnecessary, suggesting that it was something much less dramatic than people might think.
